WASTE IS NOT GARBAGE, SAVE YOUR FUTURE

 

         Recycling is the process of collecting and processing materials that would otherwise be thrown away as trash and turning them into new products. Recycling can benefit your community and the environment.

   Recycling is one of the most important problems of today's world, we decided to work with our students on this issue. As a result of our studies, we learned what is recycling , which materials can be used for recycling, how much is recycled, etc. We focused on the subject by looking for answers to the questions. We quickly focused on the problem and began to investigate.

 

  After we prepared our scenario with  teachers, students began working together.

Our scenario applied 7/A(FCL Göbeklitepe) and 5/A .

Now let's follow a brief summary of our work.

 

Interact

  The teacher asks some questions in order to attract the attention of the students. What is recycling, why is it necessary, how much we use the recycling bins in our school,  and how much is sent for recycling etc.









Research, communication, critical thinking

  In order to learn more about the recycling, our students divided into groups and started researching from web and resources suggested by their teachers. 










Production, collaboration, creativity, development

 Students discussed and rearranged the information they researched and began to produce in order to raise awareness about the recycling. Our aim here was to inform our friends, teachers and family about the recycling, as well as to raise awareness.

  Our students used various web2 tools (canva, bubl.us, stop motion, powtoon, etc.) while producing their products.





Production, creativity, collaboration

 After producing their products with web2 tool, students decided to produce  products with the waste they found in their homes and in the village. They brought the waste they found to the classroom and started to work for material.













Presentation, communication, collaboration, evaluation

   After the products were produced, the students selected one or two people from their groups and presented the materials they produced. After their presentations were completed, the students made evaluations by making comments for their friends to improve their products.
